You’re probably leaving a lot of money on the table if you do not use email marketing in your business.
In addition to increasing sales, it can also help you improve customer engagement, leading to recurring sales.
It can be difficult to get started with email marketing because there are so many platforms out there, so I will show you some of the best email marketing softwares that are easy to use to help you grow your business.
1. GetResponse
Getting started with email marketing is simple with GetResponse, which has a relatively low learning curve. It is ideal for organizations new to digital marketing.
While GetResponse lacks features, it has improved its capabilities in workflow automation and SMS marketing. It also offers e-commerce capabilities and a wide selection of third-party software.
Now let’s look at the pros of GetResponse. It has expanded features such as SMS and email chat, powerful autoresponder options, easy email marketing features, and improved e-commerce integration. On the downside, it doesn’t provide 24-7 phone assistance.
2. MailChimp
MailChimp is also available. Now this is probably going to shock a lot of people since MailChimp is one of the world’s most popular email marketing tools and they have a lot of great features like survey editors and landing pages.
As for the cost, I simply do not think it is worth using MailChimp. For example, if you have 5,000 contacts, this would start at $75 per month.
With the essentialist plan, however, you won’t even get advanced automated customer journeys, which other providers offer as part of their free plan.
So in my opinion, MailChimp’s price isn’t really worth it. There are a lot of better providers out there that are much cheaper.
3. HubSpot
Now there is HubSpot. HubSpot is an all-in-one marketing tool that offers a lot of great features like its marketing hub, sales hub, service hub, etc. HubSpot is an all-in-one marketing tool.
Email marketing will give you all the basics, but it’s not a super advanced feature. I’m not going to get into technicalities here, but I want to know how many emails your subscribers actually receive.
As you can see, HubSpot is also not very good, as only 76% of emails sent will actually make it into the inbox, and even Market is not very good as well.
However, I think HubSpot’s email marketing features will probably do the job for you if you are planning on or already using HubSpot for your business. Otherwise, I wouldn’t recommend HubSpot.
4. Constant Contact
Constant Contact is one of the leading tools. Even though it was a leading tool 10 years ago, it still isn’t the right tool.
In general, it lacks any special features, as it does not have a free plan and it is not very competitive in price.
It is quite pricey, as you can see. If you had 5,000 contacts, you would have to pay 80 dollars per month, which is quite a lot considering all the features. In my opinion, Constant Contact would not be the best choice.
5. Mailerlite
As for Mailerlite, I like it because it’s just so easy to recommend. With Mailerlite, you’re going to get all of the essential email marketing features and they actually master these features, so as the name already suggests, you’re going to get all of these features.
In terms of features, you’re gonna get email marketing, automation, and so on. As far as the interface is concerned, it’s really really neat. It’s all super self-explanatory, everything’s really nice and so on.
As for pricing, it is actually very affordable. There is also a free plan of up to 1,000 contacts that’s available forever.
Inside the free plan, you will even get stuff like their drag-and-drop editor, websites, and even stuff like their email automation Builders that Mailchimp doesn’t even offer on its paid plan.
With this, you’re only going to pay $35 per month if you want 5,000 contacts and $45 for the advanced plan. It’s a great deal.
With Mailerlite, you will also have the option to integrate with Shopify, for instance. As a result, Mailerlite has a downside that you won’t be able to customize as much as other providers. You’ll have to take this into consideration when choosing one.
6. ActiveCampaign
In my opinion, ActiveCampaign will give you the best email automation builder, even though it isn’t as affordable as Mailerlite. ActiveCampaign will also give you tons of customization options.
ActiveCampaign is a great tool to maximize your email marketing efforts. As you can see under the features, they also have their marketing automation capabilities, which are the most advanced you can find anywhere.
Basically, they offer a lot of different CRMs and they also provide a lot of different e-commerce integrations, as well as transactional emails and so on. They also have side-tracking landing pages, forms, sales, etc.
ActiveCampaign is a little more expensive. If you have 5,000 contacts, for example, this plan would cost you $79 per month. However, I usually think that the plus plan makes more sense in most cases, and in this case, the plus plan costs $150 per month.
It is therefore really up to you to decide if it is worth paying for these features, though ActiveCampaign is probably the best choice if you want the most features.
7. Brevo (formerly SendinBlue)
Now, there’s Bravo. Bravo works somewhat differently. If you look at the pricing, you’ll see that you aren’t paying for the number of contacts you have, but rather for the number of emails.
In other words, if you have a large email list but only send out a few emails, this makes sense. You are only going to pay $17 per month if you send out 20,000 emails, which sounds about right for 5,000 contacts.
Also, Bravo is currently attempting to become an all-in-one marketing solution, so they are going to provide a lot of useful features that other providers do not, such as their marketing platform.
Besides SMS and WhatsApp campaigns, which are extremely powerful, they also offer sales platforms, conversation platforms, messaging platforms, etc. In addition to these features, you’ll also get your basic email marketing features like email campaigns, landing pages, signup forms, email automation, etc.
Bravo’s email deliverability is not particularly good, as you can see that only 81% of all emails sent are delivered to the inbox, while Mailerlite and ActiveCampaign sit at 93 and 95% respectively, which are much better.
In my opinion, 81% is still bearable if you use the other features. However, I probably wouldn’t opt for Bravo if you’re not going to use the other features.
8. Beehiiv
Next on our list is Beehiiv. Beehiiv is primarily designed for creating, growing, and monetizing newsletters.
It is by far the best option if you want to create a newsletter. This is because when you look at the features, you can see that there are a lot of great features to choose from.
In addition to responsive templates and audience polls, premium content, super deliverability, integrations, custom merch, custom merch texts, and so on, we offer a variety of newsletter features.
Additionally, you’ll get a custom referral program, as well as a website builder that you can use to actually build opt-in forms for your newsletter.
Conclusion
To summarize, if you need a super simple, super self-explanatory email marketing platform, then Mailerlite is going to be your best option, as it also offers a superior free plan.
However, if you want to supercharge your email marketing and if you would like to get the most features, I recommend ActiveCampaign. Nevertheless, MailChimp is a great option for small businesses if they don’t exceed 2,000 subscribers.
HubSpot is probably the best email software for you if you need an all-in-one solution since it includes a free full CRM, automation tools, and advanced email marketing tools.
